Maldon U3A - Gardener's Meetings 2005 Page

From March to October we organise outings to various gardens, nurseries and Member's gardens throughout Essex and perhaps into Suffolk. These usually entail a morning visit to a nursery/garden, pub lunch, visit another garden, followed by afternoon tea.

Plant swaps in the Spring and Autumn at Member's houses.
All very laid back and most enjoyable.
We 'car-share' for these visits. Come and join us.
Coordinator:- Jan Robertson, Tele 01245 225657.

For the first meeting of the Gardening Group, Jan organised a video meeting at Mundon Village Hall on Tuesday, 15th March 2005. 50 Members packed the hall to see a video of the Architect of Harlow New Town's private garden being recreated after being neglect for nearly 20 years.

After a nice cup of tea a video was shown of beautiful flowers. The video was projected onto the screen using the new Lottery purchased Digital Projector which produced clear, bright pictures.
