Maldon U3A - Gardeners Group Page for 2008

From March to October we organise outings to various gardens, nurseries and Member's gardens throughout Essex and pehaps into Suffolk. These usually entail a morning visit to a nursery/garden, pub lunch, visit another garden, followed by afternoon tea.

Plant swaps in the Spring and Autumn at Member's houses.
All very laid back and most enjoyable.
We 'car-share' for these visits. Come and join us.
Coordinator:- Jan Robertson, Tele 01245 225657.

Latest Changes
20th November 2008 Added the Marks Hall visit - 23rd September   Added the Hockley visit - July 22nd.     Updated the report of the 3rd March Meeting.   Amended the Gardening Group programme Meeting from Tuesday, 8th July to Tuesday, 1st July, 2008.

Programme for 2008:-

Welcome to this year’s programme. We will be visiting new venues, plus some old favourites and I hope you enjoy them.

I have just booked afternoon visits this year as we now clash with the Fitness group in the morning.

Please inform me if you have spaces in your car or require a lift for car sharing as it is sensible to keep the number of cars visiting down to a minimum, plus it is more friendly.

The Committee is offering the following guidelines to members for a voluntary donation towards the cost of the journeys when car sharing. Up to 40 miles return: £2.00.   Over 40 miles return: £3.00.

Can you please always sign up at the Monday meeting or give me a ring to book on 01245 225657 as I have to inform the garden of numbers in advance.

Can I please ask all members for a donation of £1 per head towards my printing costs, maps etc. and telephone expenses for the year.
